I have been looking for the right towel for years. I gave in and bought these after reading so many reviews sounding like what I want. After opening the package and seperating the towels I was so disappointed, the towels were much thinner than my old ones, they didn't feel like they would be very absorbent. At this point I was very disappointed. With nothing to lose I washed one bundle (3) just to see how they were. Well they came out wrinkled but I gave them a try, they are very large which made it easy to just throw over a shoulder and use as needed. They are very absorbent and I have fallen in love with them! They are not the "fancy" towels to put out but that is not why you by them, they are the workhorse towel. I took off a star because I do wish they were not so wrinkled, who knows maybe that may get better with washes, I'll let you know.
