This item is flimsy and too short for a hand towel. Could hold a wash cloth. It easily toppled. Not a good buy. Disappointed.Great product. Threw away my old one which had rusted.Having read so many other reviews that said this towel holder was too small, I was expecting something really tiny. It's true that you'd need to use fingertip towels instead of hand towels if that's what you bought it for. But I had a different purpose. I don't like putting wet items in the clothes hamper and wanted something where I could spread my wet washcloth to dry after washing my face. In the past, I just spread the washcloth over the side of the sink to dry, but I've recently purchased some black washcloths for makeup removal and worried about the dye transferring to my granite. Now I just spread my washcloth over the top of this towel stand and it gets plenty of air circulation. And I can put my makeup sponge in the tray to dry before storing it away in my makeup bag. I believe the design is meant to hang towels on the outside rim but we use the inside because if you hang a wet washcloth the basin won't catch the drips if you hang it on the outside.I liked it well enough to order another!Most of these are advertised for hand towels or fingertip towels. This is a sturdy product and the base has a shallow bowl to it, that is nice for rings, etc when washing hands. You have to get creative in hanging a standard hand towel, however, as they are too long to just hang on the arms.I loved the towel holder, but was to short , needed to be tallerThe clear base is VERY light weight. I love the look, but the weight of poles and towels held on the stand make it very easy to topple over. Had to use Gorilla double-sided tape to secure in place and stop toppling over.Also note: this holds FINGERTIP length towels not Hand Towel size.Love this. Sits on vanity in bathroom and fresh little guest towels ready for use. Very smart looking, nice addition to bathroom.Could not find locally a towel holder for our new bathroom sink so ordered from Amazon.Love the sturdiness and look - great value for money!
